Senior Property Accountant Central London £70k – £85k + Bonus & Hybrid Working (2-3 days in the office)
The role: The role will sit between the CFO and the Property Accountant and will incorporate both financial accounting as well as having a hands on oversight role in the property service charge accounting.
Duties:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for real estate portfolios
Perform variance analysis, budget forecasting, and financial modelling
Ensure accurate and timely submission of statutory accounts, including VAT returns, corporation tax, and capital allowances
Oversee all aspects of property accounting, including rent rolls, service charges, and maintenance of lease schedules
Preparation and reconciliation of service charge
Review and reconcile tenant ledgers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
Preparation and filling of VAT returns
Requirements:
Strong, hands-on property accounting experience
Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS) and property tax regulations
Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Yardi, MRI) and MS Excel
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, grow and develop a team
