Senior Residential Client Accountant Central London £45k – £53k 1- 2 days in the office
The role: The role of the client accountant is to take responsibility for and be accountable for maintaining an accurate and up to date set of financial records for the client portfolio they are assigned. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and a pro-active approach. The key is ensuring that they keep their customers, whether internal or external, informed at all times and that the internal IT systems are accurate and up to date.
Duties:
Review and preparation of budget packs
Preparation of year-end audit packs to ETB stage
Liaising with external auditors to produce year end service charge certificated accounts in line with statutory requirements
Communication with the client upon issuing the first set of drafts.
Standardizing and maintaining a high level of client reporting for the issue of periodic (at least quarterly) client financial reporting packs
Reconciliation of all bank accounts
Update accounts checklist with progress of budgets, accounts & periodic reporting,
Responding to appropriate finance-related lessee queries;
Collating, reconciling and issuing financial information to new agents for lost schemes;
Maintaining and updating contracts on system.
Providing financial elements to pre-sales packs;
Calculating and processing property-specific recharges i.e. heating/water etc.
Maintaining ground rent funds and remitting ground rent statements and monies collected to landlords;
Maintaining an understanding of the financial clauses within the leases of the assigned portfolio
Updating Qube
Reconciliation of site setup funds, maintaining of void accounts for new build clients.
Assist with the delivery and support of the Building Safety Act 2022 where appropriate ensuring that buildings are safe and feel safe for all stakeholders
Requirements:
Previous experience of working at a Senior Level within property accounts
Experience of using MRI Qube
Strong service charge experience including – setting and uploading budgets, year end pack production to ETB and dealing with auditors
