Assistant Accountant City £35-£40k + Bonus & Hybrid Working (3 days office, 2 days home)
The role: Our client is a young property management company who were set up by industry leaders, they have since expanded rapidly winning multiple new contracts. They are now seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to work closely with the Head of Service Charge to prepare accounts across their expanding portfolio.
Duties:
Invoice entry and following up with approvals
Processing and posting of payment runs and required internal transfers
Supplier account reconciliations
Monitoring the Accounts Payable email address and responding to supplier queries
Issuing monthly and quarterly rent, service charge, electricity, insurance, and other ad hoc invoices
Credit control – chasing outstanding debt with tenants
Tenant account reconciliations
Monitoring the Accounts Receivable email address and responding to tenant queries
Posting and allocation of tenant receipts
Processing of internal transfers resulting from the above postings and allocations
Bank reconciliations
Management of utilities recharge and reconciliation process
Management of lease and tenant data
Liaising with Property, Building, and Asset Managers and other building staff to ensure the smooth running of processes
Requirements:
Previous experience working within the property industry
A good understanding of service charges
Good knowledge of Excel
Good communication skills
Working knowledge of commonly used Property Accounting software – TRAMPS, MRI, Qube, Yardi, etc.
