Associate Director – Property Client Accounting London Office 1 day a week/ 4 days home £55k – £60k
The role: To manage a team of Client Accountants and be the main contact for a large client ensuring that reporting and service charges are calculated according to RICS and clients requirements.
Duties:
Ensure that reporting to clients is undertaken in a timely manner
Produce double entry journals at month end
Handle the Quarterly VAT reporting
Work with the client on variance analysis when all month end journals have been posted
Ensure that reports are delivered on a timely and accurate basis, ensuring all deadlines are met
Raise head lease charges and reconciling them to rent/service charge demands received
Ensure service charges are completed within 3 months of month end.
Produce funding requests for clients
Handle pay overs
Raising demands for rents, service charges and ad hoc charges
Over see the relevant credit control activity, arrears reporting and Cashiering
Providing regular and other ad-hoc analysis using Excel
Deal with tenants and landlords and respond to their queries
Perform bank reconciliations
Attend client meetings
Requirements:
Previous use of a recognised property management accounts package
Strong knowledge of Excel (at least to intermediate level) including Vlookups and Pivot Tables
Service Charge Management
Excellent organisation and communication skills, both oral and written
A professional and organised approach to work
A positive and helpful attitude within a team environment
