Service Charge Manager London/City £50-£55K Plus bonus, pension, private health etc
The role: This role would be managing a small team of Accountants who are responsible for a large mixed use asset. The role would be best suited to someone with experience of service charge reconciliations, financial analysis of complex budgets and strong Excel skills.
Duties:
Manage and supervise a team of ensuring that all team procedures are aligned in order to deliver the consistent service required.
Be the point of contact for all financial matters regarding the service charge and other associated funds.
Provide management reports, data and analysis to support the Client, for strategic and operational decisions.
Ensure that all aspects of financial processes are completed in line with company policy, authority limits and controls:
Review costs model agreeing back to budget
Inputting service charge budgets onto accounting system
Review, monitoring and approval of purchase orders
Reconcile Supplier statement of accounts
Monitor and reconcile insurance claims,
Handle Cash Management and the escalation of funding issues
Be responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly service charge budget vs actual report which are included within monthly management report.
Completing journals, accruals & prepayments
Carry out mid-year reviews
Complete tenant recharges and reconciling these
Be responsible for Reserve fund expenditure.
Assist the Surveyors in preparing funding request
Maintain and track Reserve fund expenditure
Be responsible for the closure of service charge accounts.
Reconcile the balancing year end charges/credits due
Circulate demands and the supporting documents
Be responsible for the Creation of statement of funds
Carry out Balance Sheet reviews
Handle the VAT reconciliation
Liaising with auditors
Requirements:
Strong service charge accounting experience
Management or Team leading experience
Strong Excel skills – Ideally VLookUps, SUM IFS
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
